One of the most beautiful places in Ontario. Just northwest of Temagami you will find the Lady Evelyn - Smoothwater region, and after about 3 days of canoeing you will get to the Maple Mountain Range. The place is amazing for canoeing, as there are many lakes on which you can travel for days without even doing a portage! (well, I like portaging actually, but this does have its benefits!). However, as some of the lakes are bigger or long, it can get windy there, and it is easy to get stranded for a couple of days due to big waves.

In the first shot from the mountain you get a view of Makobe Lake, to the west of the mountain, and in the next after is Lady Evelyn Lake to the east. The sandy places are the totally awsome parabolic sand dunes which are found around this big lake (Lady Evelyn Lake). Great shallow water for swimming and sand for laying around.
