Pictures From Obabika Lake - Temagami Region

These pictures were taken during a four day canoe trip in middle of May 2001. My dad, Banana Man, and me did the 'Obabika Loop'; starting in Furgeson Bay on Lake Tamagami, heading west to Diamond Lake, south to Wakami, Obabika, and then back to Temagami through Obabika Inlet and Devil's Bay. Its a great trip, but the water can get rough. First night we sayed on Diamond, and second we found a great campsite on Obabika just south of the Indian pictographs (on the east shore, south of the Grandparents Rocks). Third day we got back to Temagami, and camped there. We have also seen a black bear on the last day of the trip, walking on rock on the shore of Furgeson Bay. Diamond and Obabika Lakes are both worth checking out! The last two shots are from the fire tower in Temagami, on our way back to civilization :-(
